Can You Hear Me?

Once a diagnostic tool that shaped the artist’s Deaf identity, the Charlie Chimp hearing test toy is reimagined as a work of resilience. Embellished with crystals, gold chains, and gold leaf, the object becomes a visual symbol examining diagnosis, measurement, and systems of recognition.
